District Test Scores Still Tops in California
For the fifth year in a row, Los Altos School District students had
the highest test scores in the state. Taking the nationally-normed CAT/6
test, 90% of our students scored at or above the national average. The
state’s STAR testing program covers reading, mathematics, writing, and
spelling and was given to students in grades 2 – 8 last Spring
Based on these test scores the state calculated a single number 2003
Academic Performance Index (API) for each public school. For test
